meetings

Our meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month throughout the year at Withington Golf Club, with some additional training and special events added every now and then.

Meetings usually have about 15-25 attendees, and guests are welcome to come along to experience meetings for themselves. There is no fee for visitors, and no pressure to join.

How to come along…

If you are interested in trying us out, head over to our Meetup page (click the Meetup image or you can click the M at the bottom of any web page), and you’ll find our list of meetings.

All you have to do is pick which meetings you’d like to attend, and RSVP 'Yes' to each one, so we know you are coming, can work out numbers attending and can let you know if anything changes.

What do you need to bring…

During the night you will asked to write short notes to the speakers, so you may want to bring your own pen for hygiene purposes, though we do have club pens available if you forget.

You may want to bring some money for drinks (tea, coffee & alcoholic drinks are available form the bar).

If you’re doing a prepared speech, you’re welcome to bring along any props you want to use, or a laptop to do a presentation.

Facilities

  • There is a bar at the golf club which is open before we begin, during the break and for a short time after we finish. They can also do sandwiches, but they must be pre-ordered at the bar before the start of the meeting.

  • There is a large TV which can connect to a laptop to display slides or other material. There is a HDMI port on the TV, and we do have some wires & connectors you can use (PC & Apple) - but please check with us beforehand if need one, so we can check we if we have what you need. The club does not have a laptop, so you would need to bring your own.

  • We do have a slide clicker to advance slides remotely..
